Wesley Guimarães was born in Itaguaí, a small city located in the Southeastern Region of Brazil, but grew up in Copacabana, one of the most iconic neighborhoods of Rio de Janeiro. At age 16, he moved to Italy to attend the United World College of Adriatic in Duino (TS).
Wes holds a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, and prior to that, he studied theater and dance at Amherst College, MA. As a filmmaker, Wes' debut no-budget short-film 'Relief' was a semi-finalist at the Los Angeles Film Awards and a New York Long Island Film Festival Official Selection in 2022
