Biografia

Ian began his acting career in 1964 age 21 with the Cliff Adams Singers in A Summer Season at the Floral Hall Scarborough, he also featured on TV and Radio with the CAS. Ian then moved to London where he sang in Charlie Girl for 2 and a half years and features on the cast recording. In 1968 he toured Japan in Oliver! Ian played Prince Charming in 17 theatre productions and performed in many summer seasons all over the UK. He also starred in several cruises with Saville and P & O In 1970 Ian traveled to France to record Peau D'Ane (Donkey Skin) and then performed in Henry V111 & 6 wives, Elizabeth R and The Rivals of Sherlock Holmes and Doctor in the House. In 1980 Ian sang in BBC Rising Stars. He also performed with Andre Previn and the LSO at Royal Festival Hall. In October 1985 he was cast several parts in Les Miserables at the Barbican Theatre and features on the cast recording. Les Misérables moved to the Palace Theatre and Ian worked on the show until just a few days before he died in February 1987.
