Sophie Kauer

Sophie Kauer is a British-German cellist and actress known for TÁR. She was born in London in September 2001 and attended the Junior Department of the Royal Academy of Music, where she held a scholarship and had won all prizes open to her by the age of 16. From 2015-2020 she was a private pupil of cello professor Melissa Phelps. She moved to Oslo in 2020 to pursue her Bachelor studies with Torleif Thedéen at the Norwegian Academy of Music.
