Max McLachlan

Biografia

Max McLachlan is a director and editor from Scotland, living in London. He is a graduate from the Westminster Film School. During his time there he directed the short films Tonight with Roger Goodman (2018), which was nominated for Best Student Director at the Oakland Short Film Festival and played at Rebel Film Festival in Plymouth, and Nowhere Fast (2019) starring London Critics Circle Award Winner and BIFA Nominee, Molly Wright. He also edited the short film Wolf Among Sheep which was nominated for the Learning on Screen Award for Best Undergrad film and played at Underwire Film Festival. Prior to his time at Westminster, Max completed a first year of University at The Northern Film School. While there he edited the short documentary Man on Bike (2016). The film has played at many festivals across the world including the Oscar Qualifying Big Sky Documentary Festival, where it was a finalist for the Best Short Documentary Award, and the BAFTA Qualifying Sheffield Doc/Fest. At Secondary School, two short films Max made both won Best Edinburgh Student Short Film at the Edinburgh International Film Festival (2012/2014). One of them also won Best Film by an Under 19 Year Old at the Discovery Film Festival.
