Recebeu seu BFA da Webster University-Conservatory for the Performing Arts e seu MFA do The National Theatre Conservatory, Denver Center. Ele também estudou com Yale e com a British American Drama Academy em Oxford. No teatro, atuou no Denver Center Theatre Company, no The Boarshead Theatre, no The Repertory Theatre de St. Louis, no Sierra Repertory Theatre, no Theatre Banshee, no The Odyssey Theatre e no Hudson Theatre. Mark foi indicado ao Ovation Award em 2008 pelo papel de "Slim" em Of Mice and Men at Theatre Banshee. Mark também co-escreveu o filme Passed the Door of Darkness.
