Michael Quinn

Michael Quinn was a cook who became head chef at the Ritz and was awarded an MBE in the 1980s. The same year Michael received his MBE, he was a guest on Episode #5.125 (1985). Living a life as a functioning alcoholic, he was taken ill in 1996 and recovered with the help of the AA. In 2001 he helped found the Ark Foundation, a charity there to support people with substance abuse problems in catering colleges. He died in August 2017, aged 71.
