Iván López Núñez is a Spanish film director based in Amsterdam. Having created films, commercials and TV-series, he won awards like the Silver Méliès at the Imagine Film Festival for his short film 'De Overkant', the Young Director Award at the Cannes Lions for his commercial 'Maffia', and the Nassenstein Startprijs for his graduation film 'Pijn'. Iván garnered various nominations such as a Golden Calf for Best TV Drama at the Netherlands Film Festival (the Dutch equivalent of the Academy Awards), for his TV-movie 'Barbosa' and the International Digital Emmy Award, for the web-series 'Max and Billy's Drill Machine Girl'. His work for television includes series such as 'Van God Los', 'Project Orpheus', 'VluchtHS13' and 'Commando's'.
