Frederick P. Hitz - Interviewed for Dangerous Edge: The Life of Graham Greene Frederick Porter Hitz is the first Inspector General of the Central Intelligence Agency. Hitz graduated from Princeton University and the Harvard School of Law. Hitz entered the CIA in 1967 as an operations officer. Hitz lead the investigation into CIA involvement in Contra cocaine trafficking during the Reagan administration. He is a senior fellow at the University of Virginia Center for National Security. He is the author of several books, including "The Great Game: The Myth and Reality of Espionage."
