Emma Laishram is a bi-racial actor of South East Asian and Caucasian descent, born in Liverpool, UK and raised between the East Coast and Southern Ontario, Canada. She is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada and Dalhousie University's Acting program. Emma is most known for her work in The Expanse (SyFy), It's Not You (TIFF-Short Cuts 2015), Belly of The Whale (Nova Scotia College Art and Design), and her numerous credits in Canadian Theatre. Selected theatre credits include: Hamlet (Ophelia), Shakespeare By The Sea; Scorched (Sawda), Djanet Sears; In Care (Bailey), Gordon Tootoosis Nikanawin Theatre (2017 SATA award nominee: Outstanding Ensemble; Original Script; Direction); Displaced (Dara), Ground Cover Theatre (2017 SATA awards: Outstanding Ensemble; Original Script; Direction; Sound Design).
