One episode has an underlying theme of a priest having molested two altar boys. During the flashback scenes, the two boys are on their knees in front of the priest who is fumbling with his belt buckle. In each flashback scene the priest is interrupted before anything graphic happens.

Some episodes have storylines that center on the sexual abuse and/or the physical abuse of children by nuns and priests. Rape is also a theme in some episodes.

The f-word is used many times in every episode.
