The Foretelling: References to "ravishing" as a term for sex. References to genitals being assigned to a tree. Funny.

The Archbishop: Edmund wears a codpiece which looks like an erect penis to frighten the clergy at a church. When he is crowned archbishop, he puts a hat over the codpiece. A pair of fake breasts are shown. Sexual favours with nuns are mentioned, as well as a vibrator.

The Black Seal: Friar Bellows has sex with a woman onscreen, but it is funny in some ways when Edmund walks in on him.

The Foretelling: Richard III is beheaded, gory but funny. His bloodied ghost has a head which flies around. A battle is seen for a moment.

The Queen of Spain's Beard: Baldrick is seen with bruises, implied for comedy. Edmund and Percy fight.

The Archbishop: A massive fight occurs in the nunnery, very funny on all levels. Several characters die onscreen. Multiple archbishops are killed in gruesome but funny and comical ways offscreen.

Witchsmeller Pursuaivant: A man sets on fire. A horse dies and leaves bloodstains on a piece of paper. The ashes of a woman and her cat are found on the floor. Several people die of the bubonic plague. Richard stabs a door with a sword.

A lot of "bloody", "bastard", "damn" and the occasional "shit". Many sexual terms are used. A lot of profanity. Compare with "The Young Ones".

Some characters are seen to be on drugs or drunk in some scenes.
