some of the women wear revealing or short dresses

All the female crew members are required to wear short miniskirts, very often their underwear is visible in certain camera shots.

Several episodes include scantily clad women.

In one episode, several woman are shown being raped by men on the streets.we don't see that acts but we see them being groped and carried away.

The topic of torture recurs in the show and is sometimes depicted. Characters sometimes appear mildly bloodied, bruised, and/or beaten, but overall the imagery is not explicit or gory.

The most violent scenes are the shootout with the phasers, they work in typical Trek fashion.

The punch and kicks look staged often and have not aged as well as other aspects of the series.

Lots of sci-fi action violence. Characters regularly die on the show.

However, even with the violence, there is usually never any explicit gore shown. Characters may get a little beaten up, and get their clothes torn, but they usually do not get any serious injuries, and in the rare event they do, they always manage to pull through. Very little blood.

Some characters are "phased" and zapped out of existence, however the effects are very dated and will most likely get laughable reactions from younger viewers.

The purpose of star trek was always acceptance where in sexism and racism are no longer issues and as such a black woman is in charge and powerful however some comments towards her gender has not aged well, her race is never brought up and seen as irrelevant in the series. Martin Luther King considered the show to be a step in the right direction.

Hardly any profanity maybe damn and hell.

Unlike most shows at the time star trek never had one true religion, some characters are christian while others are not most noticeably, Jewish and Muslim practitioners as well as fictional religions, (Made up for the show and the alien races.) the creator of the series was atheist but no atheist characters are seen in this series. Religious profanity is used twice.

While drinking occurs no one gets drunk.

Both of these activities are done regularly by Starfleet members, including commanders/captains/etc. However, it is done socially; no one gets drunk or high or anything of the like.

There are some frighting scenes but not too scary

Shocking for the time the show wasn't afraid to kill to kill off main characters this became a staple of the star trek series.

Tense arguments about command and political strive.

Kirk has anger problems and often smashes things etc this can be frightening due to the realistic nature of these scenes.

Often times Phasers are set to stun and not kill but sometimes people are killed and it can often be sudden and on screen especially in the final season.

The OST can be threatening sometimes especially during the infamous "You can't kill me, I'm part of you scene." from season 1.

The show doesn't deal in good and evil and is morally complex although Kirk is seen as the good guy there is no clear cut good person.

Some decisions led to massacre and war.

Characters freeze to death, in one scene a main character does so and it is upsetting, this was especially shocking as it was the episode before the end of season 1 and no one at the time expected it.

Kirk has mental health issues that decorate over the series.

The characters' lives are frequently in danger, and some characters DO die.
