Shido has a little green demon friend named Guni. She has green skin and fly's around. She is always naked but it's not graphic at all.

There is a mildly (past) gay relationship between Shido and Cain. (Cain still loves him, but Shido does not.) It is not clear if Shido was previously gay or if he is bisexual.

In one episode a girl is seen feeding off a older woman.

Shido is a detective and hunts NightBreed demons. This means that there is blood in every episode. Shido uses his Blood Sword to attack them. Some of the violence is bloody.

Damn, Hell are used in the English dub.

In one episode, a girl overdoses on some pills.

Wine is consumed.

In one episode, a man smokes cigarettes.

Some of the scenes with the Night Breeds can be intense/scary.

This isn't frightening or intense but in every episode, before the title card. a Crucifix appears with Jesus Christ hanging on the cross. It then shows Shido standing inside of a Church. (First 4 episodes only). For episodes 5 through 12, it shows Shido briefly standing inside next to a door of a church. It then shows a huge Cross of Jesus. This may offend some religious people.
