The title, Dutch for "Accused, rise!", is a typical phrase from the opening scenes, as in each episode a trial is held before the Belgian Assize court, the highest criminal court (for one or two provinces), and the only one with a jury, usually for a murder case. The only constant is the re-occurrence of court officers in the widest sense as characters alongside the episode-specific accused, witnesses etcetera.
