Many characters are drug addicts. Frequent use of hard drugs like methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin, which are consumed through smoking, snorting, injecting, and mixing. Tobacco, cannabis, and alcohol are used, sometimes involving minors or pregnant women.

Very graphic drug use throughout, though it's important to know that the series never glorifies it, instead showing it in a negative light as a means of showing the true consequences of drug use.

A main character chain smokes cigarettes and is frequently shown abusing methamphetamine. He is addicted to heroin and shooting up in a few episodes as well as occasionally smoking weed.

All drugs you can think of are referenced, shown, and used, including crack, cocaine, crack cocaine, crystal meth, marijuana, cigars, cigarettes, tobacco, heroin, LSD, PCP, methamphetamine, cannabis, Blue Sky (pure methamphetamine), and aquamarine, Xanax, Bath salts, Ketamine, psilocybin, fentanyl, MDMA, are all used throughout the show extremely commonly.

The first season has a very large focus on comedy compared to the rest, however from Season 2 onwards the show becomes much more serious.
