Season three is significantly more adult as it shows two characters in bed after implied sex. Cleavage is also shown with extremely low cut tops

In Season 3 characters are up to 8 years older than season 1. Some male/female characters live together. Two characters get drunk and are implied to have slept together, waking up in a bed covered by sheets. The heroes usually have form fitting suits. Some female characters are seen in workout apparel.

Season 3 includes a secondary character that admits to Miss Martian that she has been abused by her father. The end of "Quiet Conversations" includes the number for the Domestic Abuse hotline.

Various characters -- notably female superheroes and villains wear revealing or form-fitting clothing. In one episode, a character is implied to be naked, though nothing is seen.

In season 3, characters are shot, stabbed and impaled onscreen with bloody injury details. Nothing too gory, but some of the deaths or injuries can get quite gruesome (i.e. electrocutions, neck snappings, faces melting).

An onscreen beheading happens in episode 9 of season 3. Comes out of nowhere.

An explosion goes off and we see a person, still alive with their organs showing and one eye missing. It's the most violent scene in the whole show

The show continues to show more gore in season 4, even showing the aftermath of someone who had all of their organs ripped out of them.

Season 3 deals with the topic of meta-human trafficking. Children and teenagers from around the world are kidnapped and forced to transform into superhuman monsters. Some of them die during experimentation and others end up fighting the main characters.

The first 2 seasons aired on Cartoon Network and had not much violence, and no blood. However, seasons 3 and 4 aired on DC Universe and HBO Max which had it become more mature. Seasons 3 and 4 have more violence and sometimes show blood. Its episodes are also much more darker.

The third season may be more distressing to younger viewers. A character has the ability to not die, so when killed (in a often violent fashion) , this may initially come across as intense or frightening.
