Throughout the series couples are shown to embrace or kiss. In keeping with the series' family friendly rating kisses range from chaste to mild in passion. For instance in season 8, the female protagonist shows hesitancy towards the idea of publicly holding the hand of the man courting her.

H*** and D*** are used a few times in the first two seasons. I'm guessing that Hallmark censored them for television, but these swears are audible in the DVD collection. The last time profanity was used on WCTH is the rather shocking utterance of "d*** fool" by Mr. Thatcher in season two. Fans must have complained, because seasons 3-7 are clean.
