The way people gasp when Sonic calls mike 'A guy' and the citizens 'people' makes it feel like Guy and People are profanities.

In one of the episodes, Sonic and Tails call each other 'Doughnut Hole', which is implied to be an alternate profanity for 'a**hole'.

Shadow is the only antagonist in the series who isn't played for laughs and the only really threatening character to the main cast. He has won almost every fight against Sonic and friends and fight scenes against him tend to be the most intense in the series, although Shadow only shows up in season finale's

One episode is surprisingly intense for the series. Characters are faced against seemingly unbeatable odds and are relentlessly attacked by rouge robots.
