The entire series contains extremely violent battle scenes. Frequent images of people being shot, stabbed, and killed in various other ways. Some of the more graphic moments include a man having his throat slit (blood pours from his mouth and throat). One character kills Mexican soldiers in many horrific ways. Bodies are seen skinned, and mangled hanging from trees. A character looks into a wagon full of mutilated bodies. Much blood and gore is seen in graphic detail.

Fairly frequent usage of profanity. To varying amounts, the words sh*t, d*mn, b*st*rd, wh*re, and h*ll are used in nearly every episode.

I tried to count the profanities but quit at 100. How did this get a TV-14 rating?
