Carlitos' buttocks is sometimes seen.

Characters will sometimes be seen in swimsuits and male characters will sometimes be seen shirtless, in their underwear, or with very little clothing. However, these instances are always in a non-sexual context.

In "Slink or Swim", Abuelo gets his bathing suit pants stuck, and he was shown almost naked. Abuelo says he preferred it that way.

In "Operation Dad" Tia Frida believes that Tio Carlos has a man-crush.

In "Going Overboard", Carlos hurt his leg. In addition, Romeo hurts his leg at the end of the episode and it is shown to be painful.

In some episodes, Sergio, who is a parrot, can be seen eating other bird meat.

In "Away Game", the Abuelo and Abuela can be seen torturing their pet parrot in many different ways, such as being boiled and put into a burrito, for comedic purposes.

In "The Horror-Scope", there is a gag where Sergio's beak gets cut off.

Name calling is sometimes heard in the series, often by Sergio, but other characters as well.

Ronnie Anne has said various times that she was going to kick Carl's butt, in episodes such as "Monster Cash" and "Grandparent Trap".
