The pets that we take in impact our lives just as much if not more than any human. Madeline encounters a free floating nomadic boy named James on a bridge after she went through a hard break up with Josh. Through James, Madeline learns to become more independent and live an empowering life of self improvement. James has learned through Madeline that being there for someone and is much more fulfilling than to be free with no path in life.
