Learning Lessons (2014)

In `Is there something to be learned here?? 16 students from a Dutch high school tackle the question of ?what is good education??. The production of this documentary followed the process of their education: through the guidance of a professional documentary filmmaker, learning by doing and reflecting on their own place in society and the world. This film focuses on education inside and outside the classroom through the perspective and eyes of the students. Its story is told through a voice over of their teacher, Inge Spaander, who has guided them throughout their high school career. Additionally, Dutch experts on educational practice and policy as well as pedagogy share their views on how education should be put into practice.
