Within the first few minutes of the film, a nail bomb set inside a backpack on a bike goes off outside an office building. It is mentioned that there were two fatalities, who turn out to be the main character Katja's husband Nuri and son Rocco. There are no graphic visual depictions of carnage relating to the incident; the worst we see is some blood on the walls when Katja visits the crime scene.
