An Elephant Sitting Still will be one of the most dark, depressing, and lonely films you will ever watch. There isn't a single happy or positive moment in this entire film, and it is especially long. Many consider it to be like reading a suicide note, which technically is true because Hu Bo, the writer/director, killed himself sometime during or after post-production.
