There is no adult nudity. (Plot keywords "male nudity" and "male full frontal nudity" are misleading.) On two occasions, little boys are nude. One is settled into a bathtub, a very brief scene. The other, in a long shot, is shown urinating into a chamber pot held by his mother. Again, very briefly.

A pig is antagonised by the farmers before being butchered. The pigs screams, blood and viscera are disturbing.

A goose is decapitated and it's blood drained into a bowl.

Gruesome animal cruelty. A man is seen beating his cart horse.

One man comes home from a fair very drunk as his wife chews him out.

There are scenes shown where animals are slaughtered.
