The plot is so convoluted, with so much absurdity in the wire work, and so many characters running around aimlessly that it's hard to muster feelings when any of them are killed off... with the exception of relief when it's over.
The most frightening aspect of the film is the extreme overacting by Carter Wong (often managing to be both hyperbolic and wooden in the same scene) as the villain, compared to how reliably solid he was in his hero roles.
