There is blood where soldiers are shot, some are heard screaming before dropping dead, it is realistic people die in one or two shots, bodies are caught on barbed wire, soldiers are wounded and can be heard groaning in pain in field hospitals.

Cigarettes are smoked and alcohol drank throughout, in a fairly realistic but inoffensive manner.

A soldier spends the night in a bombshell crater with a dying man. Various soldiers are hurt and lose limbs. Nothing graphic, but this may be emotionally intense for younger viewers.
