Both male and female nudity shown, at times for extended scenes including simple exposure to graphic sex that also includes intense violence. Sex scenes involve men and women as well as men with men. There are also scenes of described sex and abuse (as part of plot related therapy sessions).

Scenes of graphic violence with fighting, stabbing, cutting and blood. The scenes can be intense but are set more stylistically and shocking than realistically or gross. Several scenes with blood but following scenes are almost sanitized relative violent actions before.

The plot deals with patients working through psycho-sexual problems mixed up with a serial killer resulting in shocking scenes that are intense and frightening. Some scenes may trigger for sexual violence survivors.
