A man attacks a woman from behind with a walking stick, killing her by striking her head. We do not see any blood or injuries. Later, another character picks up the stick and we see a small amount of blood on her hand.

Early in the film, there is a brief shot of some dead rats which have been poisoned.

As the plot revolves around a man murdering his wife and the aftermath, there a several references to, and accusations of, murder.

At the end of the film, a character has taken poison, and is being slowly killed by it. His pale complexion and bulging eyes as the poison takes effect may be distressing to young children.
