In order to save their group, a woman begs Diana to give in to the Major's sexual desires. She visits the Major, but they exchange only a kiss.

During an assassination attempt, a mounted horse is badly injured; the horse is later given a mercy killing off screen. A man's gunshot wound is treated by a doctor where he removes the bloody bullet fragment.

A man is assassinated during the finale; the bullet holes are shown right in front of him and he collapses, but no blood is evident.

As a group of travelers are held hostage for unclear reasons in a hotel by the occupying army, the tension is rather constant throughout.
