Many people are killed by various weapons, including getting stabbed by swords or daggers, shot by poisoned darts -with one boy being shot in the eye with a dart then stabbed and killed with a sword- and several are shot with arrows or crushed by boulders, and one man gets his hand chopped off. Lots of blood splashes, especially during the last fight, where two people become almost covered in blood from various wounds.

A character is a drunk and constantly drinks throughout, and one instance of pipe smoking.
