The whole film leads up to a very violent outburst where people get tortured and murdered by an angry mob after being falsely accused of being communists.

The film's tone is very realistic and many scenes carry a very tense atmosphere that makes it very unsettling to watch. This is specially carried out further by the fact that, at times, the film feels almost like a documentary or even more so like a horror film.
