The girl sees her mom's male visitor's privates (not shown) and tells him he shouldn't worry about it since she has "seen a lot of dicks".

Toward the end of the film the 9-year-old girl gets her first period and her grandmother tries to tell her how to use a tampon. We see the girl attempting to insert it, but from a considerable distance and no private parts are visible.

The girl and mom are in the bath together. Moms breasts are shown several times as she washes her daughter's hair; the girl's chest is visible.

The lack of parental care for the girl is worrisome throughout the movie. The mom has medical issues, and worries that she might need an abortion.
