De belager (2000)

Marcel Paroo (Pierre Bokma)is a charming, newly-separated politician in a medium-sized city. He uses the young regional-television journalist Nikki (Kim van Kooten) to regain the custody of his children. After a short relationship she finds out that Paroo is threatening his ex-wife and mistreating his children, and she ends the relationship. The politician does not accept this and attacks her. Nikki's situation is becoming increasingly dangerous and she asks Lawyer Elles (Johanna ter Steege) for help. Elles wants to reveal the truth about Paroo's ex-wife's sudden tragic death.
