There is one very sad sequence where the Neo-Sapiens are hiking in freezing mountains and they are crying and screaming while burying those who have died from hypothermia. They even buried a baby.

One extremely intense and disturbing sequence where the lead Neo-Sapien imagines himself as a human police officer, and he is forced to shoot a rebel who turns out to be his own mother.

Overall, there is a lot of emotional and moral conflict throughout.
