Two girls threaten each other with an axe; a woman attempts to wrestle the axe away which sends the axe flying into her leg. We see the axe embedded in her thigh; she is shaken, but no blood is visible.

Children shove each other aggressively in a few scenes.

A young girl slams her head into a door's glass window, smashing it. The girl's teacher pulls her away before she can do it again; we see the girl's head covered in blood.

A woman has a nightmare in which she chops off her own leg with an axe; we see her make the swing, but we do not see her leg. The dream ends almost immediately following.

Mona recounts a story her father told her at her birthday party (told through animation) about a family who pulled together and hacked off a body part each instead of choosing a single member to die according to a king's decree. This story is visually referenced later when Mona buys an axe, and again when a main character is injured with it.
