Johann Sebastian Bachs vergebliche Reise in den Ruhm (1980)

In 1747 German composer Johann Sebastian Bach at the age of 63 receives an invitation to Berlin to the court of Friedrich II. He is supposed to audition there and hopes that from now on he will not have any financial worries.
