In one scene, Ghidorah rises up from Rodan's volcano and delivers a terrifyingly loud roar, striking a dramatic pose as the background shows a cross and the sky is hellish. The whole concept is highly reminiscent of Satan rising from Hell in the Book of Revelation, and it can be extremely frightening and disturbing for some viewers.
This film is MUCH darker than any other "Godzilla" film so far, having the look and feel of an apocalyptic film by featuring prolonged sequences of indiscriminate wanton mass destruction and colossal collateral damage and extreme frenetic mayhem throughout, as well as religious allegories, Satanic imagery and themes, lots of brutal killings and graphic violence, plentiful amounts of ruthless action, a brutal atmosphere, and a relentlessly oppressive and foreboding tone.
Recreations of Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah may scare some. Also expected destruction and peril, and a devastating (but unexplicit) body count from the monsters.
