Billie Bates

Billie Bates is an Australian-born screenwriter who has lived all over the world. She has multiple projects set up at various studios and was recently commissioned for a multi-project deal writing family films. In 2018, Billie was a fellowship recipient for NYWIFT's The Writers Lab - supported by Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman. She won the family category at Nashville Film Festival the same year. Her other screenplays have placed in numerous writing contests, including The Page Awards, Screencraft, and Austin.
