Robert Phillips

Born and raised in the deepest parts of the deep San Fernando Valley, Robert spent his pre-writing days earning cash as a nanny for infant twins, a pizza delivery boy at a mom 'n' pop pizza shop, and as an animal wrangler for a traveling petting zoo company. In his early twenties, Robert played drums in a touring blues band, doing gigs in sweaty clubs with poor ventilation, until the lead singer/guitarist had a mental breakdown and subsequently fled to India, thus killing the music dream. Robert holds a M.F.A. in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute Conservatory and a B.A. in Literature and History from Sarah Lawrence College.
