Richard Genée

Richard Genée was born on February 7, 1823 in Danzig, West Prussia, Kingdom of Prussia [now Gdansk, Pomorskie, Poland]. He was a writer, known for The Beggar Student (1956), Die Fledermaus (1931) and The Beggar Student (1931). He was previously married to Emilie L'Orange. He died on June 15, 1895 in Baden, Lower Austria, Austria-Hungary.
