Davide Morabito is an Italian writer and director, and independent producer. His credits include backstage and assistant director roles on over two dozen fictional film and television projects; over 20 "making of" commissions for Italian films and TV series (including for Warner Brothers Italy, Universal Italy, and Italy's largest productions companies); and documentaries, and commercials for social agencies including Legambiente (Italy's top environmental NGO) and Smile Train (world's largest cleft charity), for which he filmed throughout Africa and the Middle East. His growing reputation in Italy led to an invitation to teach an annual Production seminar at Europe's oldest and Italy's most prestigious film school, Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (2004-2009). His short film 'The State of the Art', which he co-produced and co-directed, was the category winner at the 2007 Rome Film Festival. Born in Calabria, on Italy's south coast, Davide now lives in Rome with his partner Gaia, an award-winning garden, landscape and floral designer, and their two young sons. Currently, he is producing documentaries, Tv series, and Transmedia products for international audience.
