Born in Salem, Oregon, trumpet player Bryce Schmidt has performed with groups such as the American Youth Symphony, Adrian Symphony, Ann Arbor Symphony and the Detroit Symphony. Schmidt has toured with Hans Zimmer Live and performed on film scores such as Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, A Wrinkle in Time and A Quiet Place as well as television shows such as Marvel: Agents of Shield and Empire. In addition, Schmidt has performed at the ASCAP Music Screen Awards, on commercials, CD's, demos and more. His career continues to grow as he approaches music with a unique philosophy: "I am a musician first, and a trumpet player second." Schmidt is a well-rounded player who has won multiple national competitions and is passionately dedicated to teaching students. Schmidt graduated with his bachelor's in Trumpet Performance and two master's degree from the University of Michigan studying with Bill Campbell. He then earned a graduate certificate from the University of Southern California studying under Boyde Hood and Tom Hooten.
